Why China Supply Doesn't Mean Compromise

We know imported fabrication has a poor reputation in Australia. The problem is rarely the country — it's the absence of control: no heat number traceability, no weld maps, no independent coating inspection. Our process is built around documentation.

If your certifying engineer asks a question — we have the answer.

AS 1657 Compliance — What We Check Before Fabrication

The specific dimensional and loading requirements are contained in AS 1657:2018 and are applied by our designers who hold licensed access to it.

How It Works

  1. You send overall rise, width, available run — or an architectural drawing.
  2. We agree on tread type and grating height.
  3. We issue Approval Drawings.
  4. You approve.
  5. Choose: design-only handover, OR proceed to fabrication.
  6. If fabrication: production (~30 days), galvanising, QA package, sea freight (14–21 days), door delivery. Total: from 45 days door-to-door — confirmed in writing on your order.

We Supply the Structure. You Source the Standard Components Locally.

To keep your project compliant and your lead times predictable, we recommend sourcing the following standard components from Australian suppliers. This ensures they meet AS 1657 and are available without import delays. We design the structure to interface perfectly with these components, and supply the fabricated steelwork — platforms, stringers, bracing, and connection details — ready for assembly.

Monowills Ball Joint Stanchions Meshstore meshstore.com.au
Monowills / Webforge Direct Webforge webforge.com.au

These suppliers stock AS 1657 compliant components. We do not supply these items; our scope is the design and fabrication of the structural steelwork that connects them. This division keeps your compliance documentation clean and your project on schedule.
